Week 6 exercises

To the editor,

I cannot believe that council is seriously considering a ban on wrapping our fish and chips in paper.  I eat fish and chips all the time, the problem is not the wrapping it is the council’s inability to provide rubbish bins.  It is very difficult to dispose of our wrappers when the council is so busy spending our rates money on building new malls, and not providing bins for us to throw out our rubbish.  What are we supposed to do with a plate, fork and knife?  How is this going to change the issue?  I don’t want to eat my fish and chips at a café – I want to be able to go somewhere pleasant, not be stuck around food snobs eating with a knife and fork lest they get their precious fingers a little dirty.  What are they scared of? A little bit of fat?  Leave our fish and chips alone!

Food Lovers

Anyone familiar with this blog will be aware of my guilty pleasure, fish and chips.  It brings back the most wonderful memories of being with my family, laughing over our dinner.  However, those familiar will also be aware of my pet hate – eating food with your hands.  Seriously we are not animals, we are civilised people who have opposable thumbs, and they should be used.  And germs – gross.  And the greasy hands thing after chips?  Really gross.  It is for this reason that I applaud the council for moving for a ban on wrapping my guilty pleasure in paper.  Let us all enjoy this delicious meal in the proper way, it is just as enjoyable, and then we don’t need to be worried about germy greasy hands.
